BIDA establishes, promotes, and executes projects that benefit the local area and the broader county. The Bainbridge Island Downtown Association is dedicated to supporting and promoting the vitality and success of Greater Kitsap County with a focus on the Bainbridge Downtown as one of the gateways to the Kitsap Peninsula. Part of Main Street America BIDA collaborates with local businesses, residents, and other stakeholders to enhance the downtown area's economic and cultural vibrancy while ensuring that all we do is readily accessible to all. Keeping with our mission BIDA produces, promotes and executes various activities and initiatives, such as; First Friday Art Walk, Hometown Halloween, Holiday Tree Lighting and Entertainment, 3rd of July Street Dance, The Walkabout Guide, Flower basket beautification project and other beautification projects.  The goal is to create a thriving and welcoming community for both residents and visitors alike and all of the activities are provided at no cost and accessible to anyone. 

Mission

BIDA provides public support in many ways: by building community through a vibrant downtown; facilitating local involvement in downtown interests; marketing the destination to visitors and locals; and promoting the aesthetic design and economic vitality of the downtown corridor. We partner with local businesses in marketing special offers and events throughout the year.

Needs

To build, engage and sustain an equitable community promoting a vibrant downtown through no cost accessible events and activities such as; First Monthly Year Round Friday Art Walk, Flower Basket Program, Hometown Halloween, Holiday Tree Lighting and Entertainment, 3rd of July Street Dance, Walkabout Guide and other beautification projects.
