The ChangeUp Foundation is a Kitsap County‑rooted nonprofit helping BIPOC students from Bremerton High School access, afford, and succeed in college. Founded by local alumni and community leaders, our mission is simple: remove financial barriers and open doors for talented students right here in Kitsap County.
This fall, our Scholars are heading to colleges across Washington—including Gonzaga University, Whitworth, University of Washington, Pacific Lutheran University, Western Washington University, and Central Washington University. These first‑generation students and proud Bremerton grads are taking their next step with the strength of this community behind them.
ChangeUp is committed to ensuring that 100% of donor contributions go directly to scholarships. Volunteers, grants, and our board of directors cover operational expenses so every dollar you give supports our students.
The ChangeUp Foundation empowers BIPOC students from Bremerton High School to access and thrive in higher education through scholarships, mentorship, and community support—unlocking opportunity today while building a stronger Kitsap County for tomorrow.
Financial barriers remain one of the biggest obstacles for Bremerton students pursuing college, and the demand for ChangeUp scholarships continues to grow. To meet this need, we rely on a community‑powered model where every level of giving makes a meaningful difference.
Crowdfunding gifts help fund immediate scholarships and show students that their community believes in them. Larger individual donations expand the number and size of awards. Corporate partnerships create sustained local impact through matching gifts and sponsorships. And long‑term investments—such as multi‑year pledges and endowment support—ensure that Bremerton students have access to college opportunities for generations to come.
