About Us – Central Kitsap Medic One Foundation

As the Central Kitsap region continues to grow, emergency responses for Central Kitsap Fire & Rescue (CKFR) are increasing at an unprecedented rate. The majority of 9-1-1 calls received by CKFR are medical emergencies, making access to life-saving equipment and resources more critical than ever.

Founded in 1996, the Central Kitsap Medic One Foundation exists to provide essential supplemental support for CKFR’s Emergency Medical Services (EMS). While property taxes fund a portion of EMS, budgets often fall short, leaving crucial needs unmet. Our Foundation helps bridge that gap, ensuring CKFR has the necessary tools, training, and equipment to continue delivering exceptional emergency medical care to the residents of Central Kitsap.

Our funding comes from generous individuals and organizations who believe in the importance of high-quality EMS care. Contributions come from:

✅ CKFR employees who give back through payroll donations

✅ Grateful patients and families who have received CKFR’s care

✅ Community members committed to public safety

✅ Grants and business sponsorships

✅ Memorial donations and bequests

Each year, the Foundation works closely with CKFR to identify and prioritize critical needs—from advanced medical equipment to life-saving community programs. When items cannot be funded through standard budgets, your donations make them possible.

With your support, we can ensure that CKFR’s first responders have the tools they need to save lives and protect our community.
