With the help of our Volunteers and Donors,
The Dispute Resolution Center has been serving our community for over 35 years!
The Dispute Resolution Center of Kitsap County (DRC) strengthens relationships, families, and communities through mediation, facilitation, and training services.
Mediation:
- A process that guides parties to develop their own solutions to challenging situations with the help of professionally trained mediators.
- Mediation is often a less adversarial, safer, more productive process with more satisfying co-created resolutions that have longer lasting results.
- Mediation is a less costly path than litigation.
The goal of the DRC is to contribute to building safer, more peaceful healthier communities within Kitsap County and beyond through the power of civil dialogue.
Our services make an impact in achieving this goal for the following areas of community interest:

As of 2023 we are immensely fortunate to be in a new larger building in an excellent central location on Bay Shore Drive, able to provide community gathering and training space. We continue to work to make this space a warm and inviting place, suitable for offering educational opportunities and practice spaces for our mediation and restorative practice programs. This space supports opportunities for growth; provides an area in which people can thrive; helps our community be a place where people will want to live; and helps empower people to resolve their conflicts in a peaceful, constructive and healthy way. We are working to plan for future remodeling of the space to better serve the needs of staff, volunteers, and the community we serve.
