$14,000 Goal

The Dispute Resolution Center of Kitsap County (DRC) strengthens relationships, families, and communities through mediation, facilitation, and training services. The goal of the DRC is to build community through the power of dialogue.

Our services are available to the greater Kitsap area. As a non-profit our service fees are free, low cost, or on a sliding scale. We offer numerous types of mediations and restorative circles, including: Family, Interpersonal, Youth, Schools, Business, Small Claims, Landlord-Tenant, Foreclosure, Neighbor, Multi-Party, and more.

We offer a variety of trainings including basic and specialty mediation training, the Mandatory Co-Parenting Seminar, and Custom trainings for team building, communication, conflict management, and de-escalation.

We also provide a variety of special programs including: Peer Mediation/Peer Support training for Mission Creek Corrections Center and Washington Corrections Center for Women; and peer mediation program at six schools in Central Kitsap School District. In all of our work, we model and teach practical skills that build connection and maximize effective communication. We work with all people and organizations in our community.

We continued work throughout the pandemic to provide services and trainings remotely! We are beginning to return to in person services.

We moved into a new building in 2023 and can finally have the community gathering and training space we have dreamed of.  We are working to be able to furnish this space in a warm and inviting manner, suitable for offering educational opportunities and practice spaces for our mediation and restorative practice programs.  This community space will support opportunities for growth; will provide an area in which people can thrive; will help our community be a place where people will want to live; and, will help empower people to resolve their conflicts in a peaceful, constructive and healthy way.
