$5,000 Goal

Our organization's main projects at this time is to focus our efforts on raising funds to spay at risk street dogs in Asia, particularly in Malaysia, where society has become intolerant of their presence. The local councils in Malaysia widely practice catch and cull. Therefore, F5 helps fund the spaying of these dogs cared for by responsible rescuers who relocate them to a safe area, where they are fed and well cared for, hence allowing them to live out the rest of their natural lives roaming free without pain and anguish. Proceeds from this event will help fund the cost of spaying of these street animals and will be sent to the veterinarian(s) that subsidize these spaying fees.  Please see our mission statement as well. Thank you.

Giving Activity

Mission

That every stray dog born on the streets of Malaysia be given a chance to live a life free from pain and anguish

AWARENESS

Use multiple platforms such as social media, television and press to disseminate information to the Malaysian public and the world regarding the cruelty suffered by many stray dogs in Malaysia.

WELFARE

Identify no kill, well run, compassionate, sustainable, transparent local shelters in Malaysia and channel financial assistance to their cause as able.

Provide financial assistance to animal welfare groups caring for stray dogs that have been trapped/abandoned at “dump sites” around the country. Support their efforts to neuter, rehabilitate, relocate, and rehome these dogs.

EDUCATION

Help fund educational programs on the importance of spaying/neutering/responsible pet ownership/adoptions/ fostering/kindness to animals.

Encourage/fund programs for religious leaders to teach their followers that any form of animal abuse is wrong irrespective of species of the animal.

TRAP-NEUTER-RELEASE-MANAGE (TNR-M)

Help fund clean TNR-M programs for independent rescuers and help local NGO's do this in collaboration with their respective councils

Needs

We need approximately USD 40-70 to spay one female dog per month and provide 1 day boarding prior to rescuer's releasing these dogs back on the streets at a safe location. We spay approximately 85 dogs per month, so our monthly expenses for these 3 projects is USD 6000.
