$8,500 Goal

Planted in 2020, Kitsap House is a young worshiping community that desires to be a church for our neighbors, seeking God's shalom (life-restoring wholeness and peace) in our neighborhoods. We believe Jesus changes everything, especially how we live, and we invite everyone to join us as we seek to trust him and experience his nearness day by day. During the week we meet at our ministry house on Kitsap Street and during the weekends we gather for worship (check our website for location). We love our neighbors in Port Orchard, so take a look at ways you can come along with us as we seek to live like Jesus.

Some of the ways we seek to spread God's Shalom in our neighborhoods are:

Offering year-long residency program for young adults (18-30) to find “their people, their place, their purpose and God’s presence” at 703 Kitsap St.

Hosting weekly worship gatherings in Port Orchard community.

Facilitating cohorts on learning to apprentice in the way of Jesus.

Encourage and nurture intergenerational mentoring and feasting.

Partnering with local and global organizations, such as Coffee Oasis, West Sound Young Life, YWAM, Alpha and World Relief.

Supporting our local food boxes and school district.

Mission

A church for our neighbors, seeking God's shalom in our neighborhood.

Needs

The gospel of Luke has been described as a story of Jesus and His feasts. In every story he is either on his way to a feast, at a feast or on his way home from a feast. There’s something about a meal that is intrinsically about sharing and showing who God is. At Kitsap House, we’re a church for our neighbors. We know that people need to see God themselves, before they can trust him.

We want to create space for our neighbors to experience God and what better way than to practice the way of Jesus in sharing meals with one another. Meals are already a significant part of our rhythm, but as we feed more and feed beyond those who call Kitsap House their home, we could use your help to share the feast, so that we can share God with our neighbors.

This goal of $8,500 includes:

- 4 feasts each benefiting a different local non-profit

- 4 Kid’s Night In Parents Night Out events, benefiting families in Port Orchard

- 10 residency dinners

- 9 Wyld Life events at Cedar Heights Middle School

- 6 table dinners to benefit the growth of Kitsap House

- 20 meals for cohorts

- A second fridge for our ministry house to allow more space for residents

Thank you for your consideration in sharing the feasts with us.
