The mission of Kitsap Youth Lacrosse Association is to foster the growth of lacrosse at all levels in the Kitsap region by providing quality programs to create sustainable and affordable playing opportunities for student athletes. Without your generous donations the sport of lacrosse will be inaccessible for athletes in most Kitsap areas.
We support girls game and boys game teams 3rd-8th grade. We also support introductory Kindergarten through 2nd grade coed local play opportunities. Practices are typically 2 or 3 times per week at Ridgetop Middle School with one game each weekend. Season is from February through May.
Our players are developed through positive coaching principles by USA Lacrosse certified coaches. Every effort is placed on player development in a manner that is supportive and enjoyable to each player. All players have significant playing time.
Our strategic plan is to grow the youngest groups of athletes into multiple sustainable teams that will be able to feed into future higher levels. Over time growth into additional teams in more areas at better facilities with better equipment will be achievable. Your donations will expedite the growth of the sport in the local area without having to raise registration costs.
The association is made up of parents of players, former parents of players and interested community members. No board member, coach or parent are compensated for their services or time.
As a sport that with origins from the indigenous peoples of North America, we strive to include all athletes of every race, creed, gender, capability and national origin. We are in need of support in to conduct marketing to recruit players, rental use of facilities and replacement equipment.
