The North Kitsap Options Program is a multiage learning community that cultivates independent learners’ curiosity and creativity by fostering long-lasting relationships with peers, teachers, and community. The multi-age setting allows students to interact with content, concepts, and standards that meet their intellectual needs and interests regardless of age. Teachers honor student voice and choice while guiding them in meaningful, hands-on, and community-based learning. The Options Program relies heavily on parental involvement to make these unique learning opportunities possible.

The NK Options Program mission is to provide North Kitsap students with community-based education that fosters the development of self directed, life-long learners through significant family involvement, interdependent, multi-age learning groups, and curricula that are responsive to the needs and interests of our students.

Needs

It is through fundraising, donations, dedicated teachers, and countless volunteer hours that the NK Options Program is able to provide unique and engaging learning opportunities to North Kitsap students. Project based learning, meaningful field trips, enrichment classes, family camps, Salish Sea expeditions, and more are all made possible by our community's support!
