Mission

Mission

Our mission is to provide advocacy, education, and resources to promote the well-being of youth and families in need. We believe that by creating a community that values diversity and celebrates differences, we can create a world where all individuals have the support they need to succeed.

Our focus is on youth and parents needing support and education in LGBTQIA and teen support, with an emphasis on supporting parents of transgender youth. We recognize the challenges that LGBTQIA youth and their families face, and we are committed to providing resources and support to empower them to lead healthy, fulfilling lives.

In addition, we recognize the unique challenges faced by BIPOC youth and families. We are committed to engaging in advocacy, resources, and support to empower BIPOC youth and families to achieve their full potential.

Needs

NW Hopeful Horizons provides a safe space for youth to engage in peer support groups and one on one mentorship. Our youth engage in interactive arts, activities that help build independent living skills, and community connection to resources and resources that support their health and wellbeing. Donations help support our rental space, food for our youth during groups and one on one services, art supplies, journals, workbooks, printed material for youth and community engagement outings. As our services are growing, we are in need to more supplies and support, as well as being able to hire peer support professionals to help in mentoring youth.
