Pathways to Success – Open Doors supports young people in Kitsap County who have disengaged from school and face barriers to completing their education and entering the workforce. The program serves youth ages 16–21 through flexible, individualized education pathways that allow students to earn a GED or high school credits while receiving one-on-one instruction and case management.

An integral partner in this work is Pathways to Success at WorkSource, which provides workforce development services for youth ages 16–24. Through career exploration, job readiness training, paid work experiences, internships, and connections to local employers, WorkSource helps students build skills, confidence, and clear pathways to employment or post-secondary education. Many students are co-enrolled, allowing education and workforce development to happen side by side.

While state and federal funding support core education and workforce services, they do not fully cover the wraparound supports young people need to succeed. Community giving helps fill this gap—providing transportation, certifications, work experiences, and the additional support that restores hope and helps youth move toward a stable, meaningful future.
