The Friends have been continuously active at the Port Orchard Library for over three decades. We raise funds through our book sale shop within the Port Orchard Library as well as special book sale events. The Friends also partner with local businesses for fundraising events such as our popular annual holiday evening at the Western Washington Center for the Arts. Our organization focuses on providing the funding for the summer learning programs at the library, as well as various library services, facilities and other needs for the library.
The Friends mission is to support the Port Orchard Library, providing enrichment programs and events to the patrons of the Library and the community of Port Orchard. As new needs and new goals arise, we as an organization help the Library be successful in meeting those needs and goals.
The primary need of the Port Orchard Friends of the Library is your financial support. With your support, we are able to provide the funds needed for programs hosted at the Port Orchard Library benefiting the public. These programs include the amazing Summer Reading events, classes, author visits, children's events during school holidays, teen events and more!
