The Friends have been continuously active at the Port Orchard Library for over three decades. We raise funds through our book sale shop within the Port Orchard Library as well as special book sale events. The Friends also partner with local businesses for fundraising events such as our popular annual holiday evening at the Western Washington Center for the Arts. Our organization's purpose for these funds is to support library services, facilities and other needs for the library.
The Friends mission is to support the Port Orchard Library, providing enrichment programs and events to the patrons of the Library and the community of Port Orchard. As new needs and new goals arise, we as an organization will help the Library be successful in meeting those needs and goals.
