The Kiwanis Club of Port Orchard chartered in 1929 and for over 95 years has been serving the children of Kitsap County. Our longest running youth service is our scholarship program.
Donations made through the Kitsap Great Give support the Port Orchard Kiwanis Education Trust Fund. 100% of the funds from the Great Give provide scholarships to graduating high school seniors who will be attending college or pursue technical, trade or vocational training.
Student scholarship applications are evaluated with a big picture look at each candidate including financial need, future goals, community involvement, school activities and past employment.
In 2024 we gave out 15 scholarships totaling over $31,000.00. We expect to do the same this year.
