The Poulsbo Community Orchestra provides opportunities for North Kitsap area volunteer musicians, ages 16 and older, to rehearse and perform symphonic music for the greater Poulsbo community. Concerts are free and attendance ranges from 400-600+.
We rely on the kindness and generosity of our audience and donors within our community. They help provide us with the necessary funds to bring beautiful music to Poulsbo. Sponsorships and grants for the Orchestra have been provided by Kitsap Bank, Microsoft Corporation, Poulsbo Lions and Rotary clubs, Cultural Arts Foundation Northwest, the Kitsap Community Foundation, the Peninsula Music and Arts Society, ArtsFund, and Washington State Arts Commission.
$6,000 goal to cover 2024-2025 Concert Production Costs as well as ongoing purchase of sheet music. Did you know that a single piece of music for our orchestra can cost $700+? In order to be able to bring classical music to Kitsap, we need the support of our community.
We were so exited to see our audiences this past December for our Holiday Concert and our March "Afternoon Classics" Concert. It was so rewarding to be able to share this fantastic music with our community. We hope to see you on June16th for our season finale: An Afternoon at the Opera!
Our mission is to provide opportunities for musicians, both young and old, to play beautiful orchestral music together year round, to perform free concerts for the North Kitsap community, and to enhance our collective cultural experiences.
