$2,500 Goal

Sibling relationships can provide a significant source of continuity throughout a child's lifetime and are likely to be the longest relationships people experience.  When that bond is disrupted due to out of home placements, siblings begin to feel detached from each other and typical childhood memories are replaced with clinical office settings supervised by strangers.  Since we began with our first summer camp, Camp To Belong WA, we have been working to improve the ways we serve siblings.  Since 2009 we have served more than 1300 youth statewide, right here in Kitsap County!  Most recently, we expanded into year round programming and are offering day events that continue to reunite, grow and encourage separated brothers and sisters.  At Sibling Strong, we believe siblings should have the chance to build relationships with each other, whether they are separated in foster care, adopted out of foster care or in kinship care.  All of our programs are offered at no charge to the youth who attend.  Instead we fundraise throughout the year and, thanks to generous community members, we are able to offer adventures that build lasting childhood memories!

Mission

Our goal is to reunite siblings who are separated due to foster care, kinship care or adoptive placements at events that build relationship, create childhood memories and empower the sibling connection.

Needs

Reunite siblings separated in foster care/adoptive/kindship care placements.
