Youthnet is a community-based nonprofit dedicated to supporting children, youth, and families facing difficult circumstances. Our mission is to provide caring, trauma-informed social and educational services that help young people and families build stable, productive, and successful lives.
Since 2021, Youthnet has served Kitsap and Mason counties, working to ensure children in foster care can remain close to their schools, siblings, extended family, and cultural communities. When youth are placed far from home due to a shortage of local foster homes, they often experience additional trauma, disrupted education, and loss of critical support systems. Youthnet exists to change that.
Our approach is rooted in equity, dignity, and inclusion. As a non-religious agency, we proudly serve youth and families from all socio-economic backgrounds, with focused support for Indigenous communities, youth of color, LGBTQ+ youth, and families impacted by substance use, domestic violence, or child maltreatment. We believe every child deserves stability, belonging, and the opportunity to heal.
Youthnet’s continuum of care model sets us apart. Many of our staff serve in dual roles, allowing youth and families to work with the same trusted professionals across services — reducing disruption and building lasting, supportive relationships. We intentionally maintain lower caseloads and exceed state training requirements to ensure high-quality, attachment-informed care.
Our programs include:
• Foster Care Services – Licensing, case management, 24/7 support, respite coordination, and extensive caregiver training.
• Behavioral Rehabilitation Services (BRS) – Therapeutic foster care for youth with complex emotional and behavioral needs.
• Combined In-Home Services – Family preservation and reunification support using evidence-based practices.
• Caregiver Supports – Educational advocacy, health coordination, crisis response, and caregiver coaching.
• Independent & Transitional Living – Life skills, mentorship, and case management for youth preparing for adulthood.
Youthnet works in partnership with DCYF, schools, service providers, Tribes, and community organizations to strengthen families and prevent unnecessary placement disruptions.
By participating in Kitsap Great Give, Youthnet invites the community to be part of keeping children safe and supported close to home. Your gift helps license local foster families, train caregivers, and provide the wraparound support youth need to heal and thrive.
Together, we can ensure that children in our community grow up with stability, connection, and hope.
