Since 2001, Bainbridge Island Rowing has been building a multi‑generational rowing community across Kitsap County from our home on historic Eagle Harbor. Our mission is simple and enduring: to build community through rowing.

BIR supports rowers of all ages and experience levels—youth and adults, recreational and competitive—by providing excellent coaching, quality equipment, and welcoming facilities that foster connection, fitness, and personal growth. Over the past two decades, rowing at BIR has positively impacted hundreds of lives through its physical, psychological, social, and community benefits.

We introduce new rowers to the sport through Learn to Row programs and offer year‑round opportunities for high school athletes and adults to train and compete locally, regionally, and nationally.

Funds raised through Kitsap Great Give will provide scholarships that ensure cost is never a barrier to participating in our rowing programs.

Mission

Bainbridge Island Rowing builds community through rowing and serves the West Sound region. BIR supports recreational, fitness and competitive rowing goals for members by providing outstanding coaching, equipment, and facilities in a welcoming, collaborative, and respectful environment.
