Who we are:

Citizens in support of the Sea Services

Our Mission:

1. Enhance the morale of sea service personnel and their families through national and council level programs.

2. Support youth through programs, that expose young people to the values of our sea services.

3. Be a powerful voice to educate the public and Congress of the sea services' importance to our nation’s defense, well-being and economic prosperity.

What we do:

 - We have adopted USS WASHINGTON, USS HENRY M JACKSON, USS MAINE, Strategic Weapons Facility Pacific, Marine Corps Security Force Battalion Bangor, USCG Maritime Force Protection Unit Bangor, USCG Air Station Port Angeles, USCG Station Quillayute River, and USCGC Active.   In 2025 we provided over $7,200 of awards and support to those units.

- We have also adopted 6 local NJROTC Units and both local Sea Cadet units.  Last year we provided over $17,300 in scholarships and support to these units.

- We host the annual Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony aboard the USS TURNER JOY (DD-951) Navy Destroyer Museum.

- We host the annual Veterans Day Ceremony at the Kitsap County Pavillion.

- We host Welcome to Kitsap events for Navy and Cast Guard Units changing homeport to Naval Base Kitsap, most recently USS TOPEKA arrival and USS NIMITZ return from their last deployment. We also hosted a Brow Banner Signing for the USS TOPEKA.

- Support and recognition to the Ombudsmen onboard Naval Base Kitsap.

- Each year we support the Washington State Science and Engineering Fair with $2500 in scholarships and volunteer judges (25 judges in 2025).

- We partnered with the Puget Sound Navy Museum to celebrate the Navy 250th Birthday at the museum.

- The annual Armed Forces Day Gala and Senior Enlisted BBQ recognizing the service of both the Commands and Senior Enlisted of the local sea service commands.

- Our monthly luncheons and tours provide education and information to both our members and to the general public.

- We provide Active-Duty Sea Service member recognition at our monthly luncheons.

We are the largest council in the Pacific Northwest and are all volunteer.  Our Council has been recognized with the Outstanding Council Award and the Adopted Unit Excellence Award for the past five years.

We appreciate the support of our members, volunteers, sponsors, and donors for your contributions and service which allow us to support our local sea services.
