Bremerton WestSound Symphony

Live Classical Music that is Accessible for All Ages!

The Bremerton Symphony, founded in 1942 and renamed “Bremerton WestSound Symphony” in 2019, has been a vital part of the cultural landscape in Bremerton and the greater part of the Kitsap Peninsula. Our organization consists of an orchestra and chorale of up to 100-120 volunteer members, and a growing youth jazz ensemble. We are all working hard to bring exceptional live music to our West Sound community during our 81st season.

Every season is an exciting new ride through the hills and valleys of not just melodic symphonic adventures, but also critical financial decisions that every non-profit business must face. Your continued patronage and generous donations allow us to fund the people who keep the business running, enrich and educate the musicians of the future through our OrKIDstra concerts, feature exceptional local talent through our Young Artists Competition and Rising Stars Showcase, transport our equipment and people as we travel around the West Sound communities, and reach beyond our library to rent and purchase musical selections so we can create new and engaging musical programs for your enjoyment.

Your continued support will allow us to offer low ticket prices for youth ages 18 and under and young adults ages 19-29 for all mainstage concerts, welcome thousands of area students to our annual OrKIDstra concerts each spring, expand community performances and improvisational workshops for our youth jazz ensemble, and continue offering cash awards to talented students of our annual Young Artists Competition.

Our vision is for the West Sound to be an inspired community of supported and connected local arts groups and artists, with opportunities for citizens of all ages to explore creativity and develop talent, and a dedicated home for music within a thriving local economy.We owe it all to you, our loyal donors and patrons, whose gifts have kept us moving forward into the future so we can continue to bring superior live music from our past to the communities of our present.  We remain grateful as we celebrate our 81st season with you, and strive to continue to be “the sound choice” in Kitsap County and beyond!
