PAWS of Bremerton
Established as a 501(c)3 in 1976, PAWS operated out of a small building in Manette, WA for 25 years. In 2000, we moved to our current cozy residence on Perry Avenue in Bremerton.
Our mission remains to provide a home-like environment for cats in need placement, averaging 100-200 cat adoptions per year.
We proudly support our local community, helping to reduce pet overpopulation each year through our spay/neuter program in close partnerships with the Mason and Kitsap County Humane Societies.
PAWS of Bremerton was established in 1975 to provide financial assistance to low-income residents of Kitsap County seeking emergency veterinary services for their companion pets. Our volunteer-operated organization maintains a cat adoption and rescue center at 3306 Perry Avenue, Bremerton, WA. Direct donations are accepted at our office by cash, check, and credit. We gladly accept non-monetary donations in the forms of cat/dog food (both wet and dry), cat trees, toys, and other pet items. We also stock a pet food pantry for cat and dog owners that need a helping hand. Additional information can be found at our website pawsofbremerton.org.
In 2025, PAWS of Bremerton:
* Adopted out more than 197 cats and kittens.
* Provided medical aid to more than 400 pets of low income owners.
* Spayed or neutered more than 500 cats and kittens. Last year alone our efforts prevented the unplanned births of over 400,000 kittens.
