Peninsula Dance Theatre

Peninsula Dance Theatre (PDT) is a non-profit 501c, Performing Arts Company. It is our mission to provide a supportive environment in which to explore the world of dance, and to expand the horizons of our youth. We promote teamwork, self-discipline, confidence and health, all of which lead to success and enrichment of the entire community. With this mission our company members receive professional instruction, scholarship opportunities, and performance opportunities to advance their art. We also give back to our community. PDT provides complimentary tickets to non-profit fundraisers, discounted tickets to retirement homes and local high schools’ drama departments and military discounts to our local troops. PDT was incorporated in 1973 and we are proud to be celebrating our 52nd year of bringing performance opportunities to the community. PDT has worked hard to develop a level of dance that is equal to those found in larger cities. This year, PDT is proud to celebrate its 50th performance of The Nutcracker performed with the Peninsula Ballet Orchestra. In addition, our spring performance, Swan Lake Suite & New Works, will have a little something for everyone with excerpts from the beloved classical ballet as well as new works by local and world-renowned choreographers alike. It is important for PDT to produce a high quality show, in order to give their young artists and community a professional experience in Kitsap County. 

In celebration of our 50th performance, PDT was able to present a complimentary shortened version of The Nutcracker to many school children, as well as introducing a sensory friendly performance.  Peninsula Ballet Orchestra played for our matinee and evening show on December 6th, and our matinee on December 7th.

We look forward to presenting Swan Lake Suite & New Works on April 25th and 26th at the Bremerton High School Performing Arts Center.  Many company members from the last 52 years have gone on to professional careers as performers and choreographers.  From the youngest dancer to the most experienced , PDT's shows are the result of a total love for, and commitment to, dance as an art.
