$1,500 Goal

Over 500 children and youth participate in Turning Pointe programming — Mason County’s only State-certified domestic violence and State-accredited sexual violence services provider. As the second largest domestic violence emergency shelter in Washington, we open our doors not only to families from our local community but also to those from our neighboring counties. Our satellite offices serve as a safe space for our North Mason/Kitsap community members to receive programming that includes teen support groups and prevention education.

Turning Pointe’s youth programming empowers young people with the knowledge to recognize healthy and unhealthy relationships, establish boundaries, and practice effective communication. It emphasizes the importance of consent, self-esteem, self-love, and self-care, while also highlighting the benefits of journaling. The program teaches how to support friends in unhealthy relationships, identify red flags, and navigate social media interactions. It provides guidance on how to safely end a relationship when feeling unsafe and offers resources and safety planning. The 3 P's – Parents, Peers, and Professionals – are introduced as key sources of support.

Some of our youth endure more than just trauma; they carry the threat of replicating those destructive cycles into their own futures. At Turning Pointe, we believe that with the right support and resources, we can change that narrative.

With the help of our generous community, we were able to equip the teen room at the emergency shelter with computers, furniture, and decorations - it was a huge success! Now, we would like to do the same for our North Mason/Kitsap location and we need YOUR help.

Having a cool teen space for weekly support groups - a safe place with resources at their fingertips - will empower our youth in numerous meaningful ways: a stepping stone toward stability and growth, providing hope. By donating to our campaign, you’re investing in a brighter future for our youth.

Your participation can create ripples of meaningful change. Here’s how you can help:

 • Donate: Every dollar counts and brings us closer to our goal.

 • Volunteer: Ground-level support not only enhances our programs but embodies community spirit.

 • Share with Your Network: Spread the message far and wide; help us reach others who can lend a hand.

Together, let’s form a community of support where normalcy shines through and healing takes root. Join us in being a part of this vital movement. Together, we can give these youth not just a teen drop-in center—but a chance to thrive in a safe space.
