About Kitsap Great Give

Unsurpassed impact for the entire community!

The Kitsap Great Give is a 24-hour “give-day” event that unites our community through a special online donation platform to support the many nonprofit organizations that make Kitsap a great place to live – for all of us.

In a single day, more than $2 million dollars can be invested in the direct support of our community through donations from individuals, businesses, and organizations to a wide variety of nonprofit organizations. Last year, the event generated $1.47 million from 3,188 donors through 7,140 gifts to support 364 local nonprofit organizations.

Presented by the Kitsap Community Foundation and the United Way of Kitsap County, this annual community movement of generosity has resulted in more than $15 million in community support since 2014.

How can I support the Kitsap Great Give?

Community partner sponsors are needed. As our “first donors in,” sponsors make the Kitsap Great Give possible by providing critical support to help underwrite the costs of the event. Additionally, our sponsors fund a bonus pool that provides a 5% boost for all gifts (including early giving and day-of gifts made by donors either online or offline), as well as provide support for prizes offering fun incentive challenges to encourage donor participation to further benefit nonprofit organizations.

For all other donors, there are multiple ways you can make a gift to the Kitsap Great Give on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 (or via “Early Giving” that starts April 1 and ends April 15 at midnight):

  • Use your credit or debit card to give online on this website (KitsapGreatGive.org) from a computer or mobile device, as this website has been optimized for easy access through mobile giving from a smartphone (iPhone, Android, etc.). Data charges for personal mobile devices may apply and are not reimbursed;
  • Make a gift by check, credit, or debit card by returning our reply envelope included in the KGG direct mail appeal distributed to more than 100,000 households in Kitsap;
  • Make a gift by check, credit, or debit card using our reply device clipped from the special supplement provided by Sound Publishing to the Bainbridge Island Review, North Kitsap Herald, Central Kitsap Reporter, and Port Orchard Independent and mailing it to the Kitsap Community Foundation;
  • Call the Kitsap Community Foundation at (360) 698-3622 to make your gift over the phone.

How can I further support nonprofits in my community?

We encourage individuals to give to their favorite organizations year-round, as our region’s nonprofit organizations are an incredible force for good. Not only do they focus on eliminating the suffering caused by social problems, they also work – often in partnership with others – to prevent and eliminate the social problems that cause harm. Additionally, nonprofit organizations support the enrichment destinations and activities (such as museums, libraries, performing arts centers, parks and wild land preservation, community gatherings, festivals, etc.) we all enjoy as part of a vibrant community eco-system, often described as Kitsap’s quality of life.

However, two organizations in our community, Kitsap Community Foundation and the United Way of Kitsap County, work to advance – often in partnership – the common good in our region.
