Mentorship isn’t just guidance — it can change the trajectory of a young person’s life. Many youth in the program face trauma, juvenile justice involvement, or family instability. Kitsap Community Resources (KCR) is a nonprofit dedicated to strengthening individuals, families, and youth across Kitsap County through programs that foster connection, growth, and stability.

Who we are?
Since 1965, Kitsap Community Resources (KCR) has been a steadfast pillar of support for Kitsap County. As a community action agency, KCR is dedicated to ensuring every individual in our county has access to opportunity, guidance, and hope.
One of our many impactful initiatives is the Empowering Youth Mentorship Program (EYMP). This program pairs local youth with trained, caring adult mentors who provide guidance, encouragement, and positive support — helping them navigate challenges, build confidence, and reach their full potential. With consistent mentoring relationships, youth in Kitsap County gain the tools and encouragement they need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
While KCR continues to provide essential services — including housing assistance, veteran support, early learning programs, employment and training, food services, energy assistance, and more — EYMP represents our commitment to shaping a brighter future for the next generation in our community.
