Who we are?

Since 1965, Kitsap Community Resources (KCR) has been a steadfast pillar of support for Kitsap County. Kitsap Community Resources is a community action agency that is dedicated to ensuring that every individual in our county feels the warmth of assistance and the embrace of opportunity.

Our commitment extends far and wide, encompassing a wide range of programs tailored to meet the diverse needs of our community. From providing essential housing assistance and rental support to offering veteran services, Early Learning & Head Start programs, employment & training, business education, food services, energy assistance, weatherization, and beyond, KCR is a symbol of hope and opportunity for those in need in our beloved Kitsap County.

Why Donate to KCR?

Supporting KCR translates to making a direct difference in the lives of those living in Kitsap County.

In Kitsap County, there are more than 24,000 people living at or below the federal poverty level. To visualize this number of people, imagine sitting at a sold-out Mariners game and drawing a line that divided the stadium into two equal parts. More than half of everyone seated on one side of that line would represent the number of people who are – at this very moment – living in our community without the ability to provide food and shelter for themselves and their families.

17% of that number are children under the age of five.

KCR offers a range of services to help these families, including:

All these programs are created to empower these families and allow them to thrive as everyone deserves in our community.

Your donation can make a real difference in the lives of people who are struggling to get by and help create a brighter future for all of us.

How do we help these families and individuals?

Our life-changing services help families and individuals throughout Kitsap County achieve stability. We do this with compassion and in partnership with each of our clients and our community, leading to a healthier Kitsap.

-Comprehensive services offered for individuals and families to assist them in finding a permanent path towards economic self-sufficiency and stability

-Our creative solutions are tailored to each client's person's unique situation, and often include referrals to key community partners who provide additional critical resources.

-Housing/Homeless Outreach, Weatherization, Rent and Energy Assistance, Early Childhood Education, Head Start, WIC Nutritional Food Program, Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), BE$T (Business Education Support Training), Financial Literacy, Community Jobs, Food Services and so much more.

Your donation can make a difference.

We are grateful to you for considering Kitsap Community Resources with your generous gift to help us serve others.
