$10,000 Goal

The Poulsbo Historical Society builds community.

Our backgrounds, ages, and stories may be different, but we all share a common interest in this beautiful place we live. PHS offers four museum locations that allow people to explore different areas of local history: the Maritime Museum, Heritage Museum, Martinson Cabin, and the Archives & Research Center.

The Poulsbo Historical Society invites the community to:

ENGAGE History displays and exhibits at our four museum locations

TOUCH History, from butter churns to pilot wheels to take-and-go activities for families

EXPLORE History at quarterly lectures and events

MAKE History by submitting personal stories on curated topics like ‘my life during the pandemic.’

 By the numbers:

  • 42,000+ people visited our museums in 2025.
  • Volunteers worked 14,000 hours in 2025.
  • 70+ people filled the critical volunteer positions that keep our doors open.
  • Since being relocated to Front Street, the Heritage Museum has had a 400% increase in visitorship!
