Mission
From its inception in 2020 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit on the property formerly occupied by the Seabeck Elementary School, our mission has been to create, develop and maintain a diversity of educational, recreational, commercial and social opportunities and activities to connect and unify our community and enrich the well-being of residents of all ages, abilities and interests.
About
With the generous support of many local residents, families and businesses, we’ve steadily grown, initially despite the challenges of the pandemic, from modest beginnings to today’s active and full calendar of events all year round. We have succeeded thanks to our many dedicated volunteers, including the leadership of the Board or Directors.
Our diverse activities include:
- Pickleball – 4 outdoor dedicated courts and indoor as needed
- Community Markets (May-Sep), Holiday Fair, Rummage and Antique Sales, Car Shows and more
- Speaker Forums, Art Classes, Seminars (e.g., Medicare)
- Feast & Forum Fellowship
- Stag and Boar Academy of Historical Fencing Practices
- Gather Pax Adult Social Group and Other Social Groups' Gathering Place
- Exercise/Fitness Sessions – Dance, Cardio, Zumba, Yoga
- Mahjong, Bunco, Pinochle Game Sessions
- Seabeck Sound & Drum Healing & Meditation
- Bingo and Family Movie Nights
-
Make Seabeck Glow Pumpkin Carving
- Private Events – Birthdays, Anniversaries, Reunions, Celebrations of Life, etc.
Needs
Funding to support our vision to create a family-friendly community park for everyone in Seabeck – highlighted by a timber frame pavilion for shelter and to host live concerts, dances, presentations and countless other events in demand and of interest. Longer term, we plan to add an accessible and inclusive natural wood children’s playground.
