From its inception in 2020 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit on the property formerly occupied by the Seabeck Elementary School, our mission has been to create, develop and maintain a diversity of educational, recreational, commercial and social opportunities and activities to connect and unify our community and enrich the well-being of residents of all ages, abilities and interests.
About
With the generous support of many local residents, families and businesses, we’ve steadily grown, initially despite the challenges of the pandemic, from modest beginnings to today’s active and full calendar of events all year round. We have succeeded thanks to our many dedicated volunteers, including the leadership of the Board or Directors.
Our diverse activities include:
Needs
Funding to support our vision to create a family-friendly community park for everyone in Seabeck and surrounding communities – highlighted by a timber frame pavilion for shelter and to host live concerts, dances, presentations and countless other events in demand and of interest. Longer term, we plan to add an accessible and inclusive natural wood children’s playground.
The architectural design, structural analysis and permit application costs were funded by the sales to date of our engraved brick fundraiser and the 2025 Kitsap Great Give donations. The project timeline for installation is still to be determined as public and private donations received to date comprise only 10% of the total needed, so approximately $300,000 is still needed.
Thank you for your consideration!
